Kevin Riddick, owner and found of Auto Lab in Libertyville ILKevin Riddick

Kevin, the Owner & Founder of Auto Lab, discovered he liked repairing cars when he was just a teenager. In 1981, he began working as an Automotive Technician, transitioning from a hobbyist into a professional and earning his ASE Master Technician status along the way. He also received formal training from Triton College in Melrose Park, IL.

After six years as an Automotive Technician, Kevin bought a Snap-on tools franchise and began to save for his own auto repair shop. In 1994, he opened Auto Lab and grew the company steadily through the years, partially with input and knowledge gained through the Automotive Training Institute. Kevin’s son, Sherman, joined him in 2009, and today, they continue to grow the company and service the Libertyville, Mundelein and Vernon Hills communities.

In his free time, Kevin rides motorcycles and scuba dives—all over the world. He particularly enjoys shipwreck diving and, one day, looks forward to diving into the Red Sea in Egypt and touring the Valley of the Kings. He also drives a 1970 Olds 442 convertible, which he bought when he was 17 years old.
